Thanks-fortheturkey-giving Weekend.

For the long weekend, Roger and I hung out in town.  We weren't slubs though, we made the most of our time starting with a trip to pick out the perfect pumpkin on Friday night.
Voila!  Here it is...

Pure, orangey perfection.

On Saturday, we got up bright and early, and went "shrrrrreddding" as Roger likes to call it.

I also took some photos of the last of the autumn trees.
Hang on to those leaves trees, it will be a while before you get new ones!

We also tidied up our garden, and Roger sadly chopped down our mighty sunflowers.

Ok, he doesn't look terribly sad, but that's because he's seen how many seeds we have for next year's crop.

and he's planning next year's sunflower forest.

These cosmos are surprisingly frost resistant.
