Shelob's new house..

On Friday night we had a storm.  It rained down and sideways and hailed and the wind blew and we watched while holding our breath and hoping that our droopy sunflowers would survive.

After the storm, we inspected the damage, and were horrified to find that Shelob was no longer in her usual spot!  This is her in happier days, feeding on an insect:

Here's her empty house after the storm...

See... no Shelob.  We were sad.  We enjoyed checking on Shelob every morning and were going to miss her.  However, as Roger closely inspected our sugar snap peas, he spied a web... than he spied a leg and then he spied... SHELOB!  In a new and improved house.

Anyhow, for those of you who are interested, Shelob is an Orb Weaving Spider.

This fuzzy bee made us laugh today, see how it's covered in yellow pollen?

And here's our sunflower pre-Friday storm.
